Born in Los Angeles in 1969, Eric Allen Carter was already painting in oils by age 7.  After moving to Lincoln, Nebraska, he earned his BFA in painting and photography from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Eric continued his arts education in Brooklyn, NY, earning his MFA in painting from Pratt Institute before returning home to Southern California. His work is best described as figurative realism, and is inspired most often by his personal experiences.
